I've been going through my mind trying to figure out a yearly project in this little cocoon of mine. I've seen the 365 photo project, but to be honest, that would become a chore and that is not what I want for this space. I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Bleubird Blog, and James came up with a portrait a week of her children. I just loved it. A simple way to capture small moments of time in the fleeting moments of my children's lives. I am going to personalize it a bit more and write a brief note to each kiddo in the caption of the photo as well, with the hopes of creating a little book at the end of the year. So, here goes for the first week.
Oliver Hugo, you are OBSESSED with Star Wars right now. There are days you will only call me Princess Leia and I can only call you Luke Skywalker. We bought you a Clone Wars book and you looked at it all morning today. I love your imagination, little mister.
Pippa, you are reading like a crazy right now. You finished Catwings in a morning and in this picture you were writing me a summary of what you read, clearly deep in thought. Keep reading, my sweet girl, keep reading.
Bea, You've picked up your paintbrushes again after a short break, and I'm beyond thrilled. I love watching you paint, the way you cock your head, take your time, and tune out the rest of the world. You are deep in the creative process and deep inside that sweet soul of yours. Keep painting, the world deserves to see what lies within.
I love this series... although I'm not doing it myself! I'm so happy to have discovered your blog... looking forward to more.
